Results for the first week are up. I'll combine them with the scores from the end of July tomorrow so we've got a running tally, and I'll try to remember to write out the scores and bring them along next week so folks can check at the shop. Xavier (Dr X) has a game in hand as he was at the shop but didn't have time to get in a league game.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to start smashing dice with a hammer until some of them agree to roll better.

Good win to Adam to maintain his spot ahead of me in the league. Learned some new things which hopefully I'll remember next time I go for a sure caster kill lolboohoo :)

On the bus home I thought of at least 3 things I could have done differently
I used to be free on internet then I took an ACTA to the knee.

Come September, I intend to dust off my Malifaux models and curse my luck at cards instead of dice for a while.

Updated results with the totals (at the bottom of the results page) - Googlebot and Chip are tied for third place, while Adam is chasing Rob. The next three games are going to be very important.

As long as I don't face Rob; can anyone deal with the paladins? Can you ignore them?

Today's scenario is Incursion (this'll be the second time this scenario has come up). Three flags are in the middle of the table and, at the end of the second player's first turn, one of these flags is randomly removed. Starting at the end of the second player's second turn, a player earns one control point for each flag they control. Kill Box is also in effect, so no hanging back and hoping for the best! As always, I'll get some print outs of the scenario for reference.

Just a reminder also that we don't have any league games planned for the last Monday of this month, as it's a Bank Holiday. However, there are a number of people who have games in hand due to missed weeks / busy Monday nights, so if the shop is open for gaming on that evening, it could be a good time to have catch-up games. The final games, along with painting scores being toted up, will be on September 3rd.

See people this evening!

Results for Week 2 are up. We had a couple of scenario victories (Incursion looks like one of those scenarios were a scenario victory is actually quite viable) and, due to table shortages, there are multiple people with games in hand. If people with games in hand don't manage to get these games in before the end of the league, I'll concert each game in hand to two points (equivalent to a loss).

Two more games to go. It looks like the top spot is going to be a battle between Rob (winner of last year's league, I might add...) and Adam. A win for Adam and a loss for Rob next week would see them tied at ninety four points and, not to be mean to Rob, I'd like to see it happen so we can have a top-table-play-off for the league crown on the last week. That'd be awesome.

Boooo to scenario wins! I cannot believe how fast the points added up when all of your army is frozen because if they walk forwards they will just burn. Robs denial army was very effective in this game despite the massive fort in the middle of the board (although one MHSF did do a couple of checky points on the harby by shooting through 8 inches of solid brick!). In hindsight I should have miraged a unit up the wall, ladders be damned!
